Deanna Brown is passionate about helping her clients heal, grow, and view themselves with greater clarity.
She worked as a therapist in corrections for over seven years, giving her special insight into the mental health needs of those who have been incarcerated. Additionally, Deanna has developed a strong expertise in addressing the mental health needs of POC and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Deanna excels at creating a relaxed, non-clinical atmosphere during sessions with her clients and enjoys allowing space for laughter when appropriate. She understands the importance of building rapport so that clients can feel seen and heard. Deanna’s goal is for clients to be able to confidently express their needs, build secure relationships, and harness their strengths to drive positive change.
As a therapist, Deanna’s approach is client-centered with a psychodynamic focus, tailored to meet individual needs. She deeply values empathy, honesty, and commitment. Outside of therapy, Deanna enjoys watching documentaries of any kind, playing with her dog, and is currently struggling to learn how to drive an RV.
Deanna works with young adults, adults, and seniors and is currently accepting new clients.
